Author Barbara Stuber will talk to teens about her first young adult novel "Crossing the Tracks". The book is set in 1926 Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri and is about a 15-year-old girl whose father sends her away after her mother's death to care for an elderly woman in another town. She is resentful but finds more of a family with them than she ever had at home.
The Kansas City author will be at the Belt Branch at 4 pm on Wednesday, October 20th to talk about her book and writing in general. Copies of her book will be for sale for $16.99.
